Purpose
Use the work-task timer to record labor as work occurs, add time retrospectively when needed, and document the work performed against the task.

Before you begin
Confirm that the work task is active and assigned to you.
Know the dates, times, duration, and time category for any retrospective entry.
Confirm that you are recording time against the correct work task.
Record Time Using the Timer
Step 1: Start the timer
1. Login to IBM Tririga Work Task - https://frs-qa.usgov.tririga.com/p/web/workTask
2. Open the active work task.
3. Select Start timer when you begin working.
4. Confirm that the control changes to Stop timer.
Step 2: Stop and review the timer entry
1. Select Stop timer when the work period ends.
2. Confirm that Total work duration is updated.
3. Select the arrow beside the timer to expand Time Log.
4. Review the person, start date and time, end date and time, time category, and duration.
Add Time Retrospectively
Step 1: Open the time-entry form
1. Expand Time Log on the work task.
2. Select the plus icon to add a time entry.
3. The Edit time log window opens.
Step 2: Enter the retrospective time
1. Enter the duration in hours and minutes.
2. Enter the Start and Stop dates and times.
3. Select the required Time Category.
4. Enter a comment when additional context is needed.
5. Select Done.
Step 3: Verify the entry
1. Confirm that the new entry appears in Time Log.
2. Confirm that Total work duration reflects the added time.
3. Review the dates, category, and duration for accuracy.
Document the Work Performed
1. Expand Comments and Photos.
2. Enter a concise summary of the work performed or the current condition of the task.
3. Select Post and confirm that the comment appears on the task.
Expected result
The task contains an accurate timer entry or retrospective time entry, the total work duration is updated, and the work performed is documented on the task.
