Purpose
Associate building equipment with a work task, add inventory-controlled parts, record other materials used, and verify the quantity consumed from inventory.

Before you begin
Confirm that the work task is active and available for update.
Know the asset name or identifier for the equipment being serviced.
Know the inventory item and quantity used for any part added to the task.
Know the description, quantity, unit, and cost information for non-inventory materials.
Add an Asset
Step 1: Search for the asset
1. Login to IBM Tririga Work Task - https://frs-qa.usgov.tririga.com/p/web/workTask
2. Open the work task.
3. Expand Assets and select the plus icon.
4. Search for the asset using its name or identifier. Barcode and QR-code search options may also be available.
5. Review the search results and select the correct asset.
Step 2: Verify the asset
1. Confirm that the Assets count increases.
2. Expand Assets and verify that the selected equipment appears on the work task.
3. Open the asset details when additional confirmation is needed.
Add an Inventory Part
Step 1: Find and select the part
1. Expand Parts and select the plus icon.
2. In Find Parts, search by inventory item ID or inventory item name.
3. Select the checkbox beside the correct item.
4. Select Add.
Step 2: Verify the part and quantity
1. Expand Parts.
2. Review the item, total available quantity, quantity selected, estimated unit cost, total item cost, and inventory location.
3. Enter or update Quantity selected to reflect the quantity used.
4. Confirm that available inventory is reduced by the consumed quantity after the transaction processes.
Add a Material
Step 1: Enter the material
1. Expand Materials and select the plus icon.
2. Enter the material Description.
3. Enter the Quantity and select the Unit.
4. Enter Cost per unit, Estimated cost, and Actual cost when applicable.
5. Select Done.
Step 2: Verify the material
1. Confirm that the Materials count increases.
2. Expand Materials and verify the item description and quantity.
3. Correct or remove the entry if the wrong material was added.
Expected result
The correct asset is associated with the task, inventory parts reflect the quantity used and updated availability, and other materials are recorded with the appropriate quantity and cost information.
