Application Builders build or customize the applications that run on the IBM TRIRIGA Application Platform, which MREF is built on.

An Application Builder can be anyone who is trained, and typically certified, on the IBM TRIRIGA Application Platform. This includes IBM TRIRIGA application developers, IBM TRIRIGA solution consultants, partners and customers.

Responsibilities

The Application Builder typically creates or modifies the following items:

• Application structure: business objects, forms and workflows, including associations and state families.
• Portals and navigation: the portals and navigation users see.
• Security groups: the groups that control what users can access.
• Reports and queries: the reports and queries used across the application.
• Object migration (OM) packages: packages that move new or updated application functionality between environments.
