Step 1: Filter the dashboard to an exception
1. Select the applicable segment of a dashboard chart, such as High or Emergency priority, Overdue status, Unassigned work, or another exception category.
2. Confirm that a filter chip appears beneath the charts. The demonstration applies Task Priority: High.
3. Verify that the other dashboard charts update to reflect the selected condition.
Step 2: Review the records behind the indicator
1. Scroll to the supporting charts and the detailed work-task table.
2. Review the task ID, task name, service area, status, priority, type, planned dates, and other visible fields.
3. Use the detailed list to identify the specific records contributing to the exception indicator.
4. Open an individual task when additional review or operational follow-up is required.
Step 3: Clear the dashboard filter
1. Return to the chart area.
2. Select the X on the active filter chip.
3. Confirm that the full, unfiltered dashboard values return.
Expected result
The user can view the assigned dashboard, review high-level performance against targets, filter dashboard information to exception conditions, and identify the detailed work records that may require action.
Common mistakes to avoid
Interpreting dashboard values before all charts have finished loading.
Reviewing the wrong dashboard, workgroup, location, or organizational scope.
Assuming a red or yellow status icon explains the issue without comparing Results and Target.
Treating No data to display as a failed metric.
Forgetting that a selected chart segment filters the other dashboard components.
Leaving a filter active and assuming the reduced task count represents the full workload.
